HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteers
The museum is a registered charity and is run on a purely voluntary basis. We rely on local people to carry out the many tasks which contribute to making us an institution of which Aldeburgh can be proud and to preserving the fascinating history of our town. Volunteers are always welcome and there are jobs to appeal to all interests from documenting and conserving the collections to devising displays, writing publicity, research, and welcoming visitors and showing them around. Work continues throughout the year and much vital work takes place during the winter months. The Association for Suffolk Museums organises a range of training opportunities for volunteers across a wide range of subjects. If you would like to join our friendly group of volunteers please contact Diana Hughes at the museum.

Individual Giving
We welcome gifts from individuals as they enable us to maintain our collections and refresh our exhibits.  If you would like to make a donation or remember us in your will please Contact Us.

Items of Interest
We are currently engaged in digitising our large archive of photographs and if anyone possesses  old local photos, postcards or documents of historic interest, which we could briefly borrow to scan into the archive, we should love to hear from you.

For further details about the above, please contact the museum to discuss how you or your organisation would like to work with us to preserve Aldeburgh’s heritage.
