THE
ALDEBURGH
SOCIETY
About Us

The Aldeburgh Society is a charity based in Aldeburgh Suffolk.

We encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in one of England's loveliest seaside towns.

We stimulate public interest in, and care for, the beauty, history and character of our historic town.

We encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of general public amenity and of historic interest.

We do these things by way of meetings publications, visits and lectures.

We keep in touch with like minded bodies in Suffolk and we are a member of the Suffolk Preservation Society. We liaise closely with the Alde and Ore Association on flood prevention matters. Their websites can be accessed through our links page.

The Society is run by a committee.  Its President is Felicity Ann Sieghart and its Chairman Tony Bone.
